Inside the Beltline Loop shares a basic footprint and three greenways with the Magic Kingdom Loop. ITB Loop uses more streets, and could be used after a spell of wet weather, when the greenway bridges can become slick. A new spur is used here to return to the Crabtree Creek Tail after passing by the Woman’s Club of Raleigh.
This route uses the bike lane on Ridge Rd. from the intersection of Glen Eden instead of following House Creek Greenway to the Crabtree Creek Trail. The route sneaks behind the Sterling Glenwood Apartments and crosses Glenwood using the light at Woman’s Club Dr.
The link from Lockwood Park to Dix Park is by neighborhood streets and shows one of the many ways to cross downtown. Here Oakwood Ave. is used for a view of the Oakwood Cemetery near the Civil War section. Bloodworth, Blount, and South lead back to the Rocky Branch Trail and Dix Park.
